Returning residents — FAQ

Who qualifies for the returning residents rebate?: Zimbabwean citizens or permanent residents returning after an extended stay abroad may claim rebate on personal effects, household goods and one qualifying vehicle, subject to ZIMRA rules and proof of residence outside Zimbabwe.
What documents do I need?: Passport, proof of previous residence abroad, bill of lading or airway bill, packing list, value declaration, vehicle documents (if applicable), and any ZIMRA forms we will prepare with you.
How long does clearance take?: Personal effects and household goods are typically cleared within 5–10 working days once documents and cargo are in order. Vehicle clearance may take longer depending on compliance inspections and ZIMRA scheduling.
How do I arrange door-to-door delivery?: Call or WhatsApp us with your shipment details and final address. We coordinate collection from the port or airport, customs release, and onward trucking to your home anywhere in Zimbabwe.
